sculpting the face

I am getting happier about my latest sculpture
it's almos in a state that can be shown, even if work in progress
but meanwhile I want to improve the face a bit!

here are some interesting videos I have been following:

from milliput to painted figure

I finally had the time to build my own light box!!
not finished yet but, even without special lighting,
the pictures of my miniatures have improved a lot!!

here are a couple of pictures of the milliput master sculpt
and the final airbrushed/paintbrushed figure!!
still working on another colour scheme (I'll post it here once it is finished)!

after 2 years of experimentation

it was approximately 2 years ago that I found this video online...
and thought to myself: doesn't look that complicated...

here are a few pictures I took of the most recent attempt!
(the previous ones are not good enough to show)
it's not finished yet... still have to paint her!

paper sculptures

this last week I tested a new material for "sculpting"

painting pitfalls

as the apartment we just bought was inhabited for the last 4 years,
we decided to clean the walls and give them a new coat of paint
and here is some knowledge (learned the hard way) I would like to share!

painting colour which you mixed yourselves is easy (once you do it right)
mixing paint should be done in a transparent container
and you should mix the paint near the walls with special care!!
just to be extra safe, roll the wall as you paint the framing (better blending)
